Lead Gymnastics Coach – Youth Academy

About the role

PSA Academy, a leading multi‑sport youth academy in the UAE, is looking for an experienced Lead Gymnastics Coach to head its gymnastics programme across Sharjah and other premium venues. You will design and deliver high‑quality classes for children aged 3‑16, mentor junior coaches, and ensure safety and performance standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver recreational and pre‑competitive gymnastics classes for ages 3–16.
• Mentor, train, and supervise junior coaches across multiple locations.
• Develop, maintain, and update structured curricula and progression frameworks.
• Conduct termly assessments, grading, and communicate progress to parents.
• Ensure safeguarding, risk assessment, and equipment safety at all times.
• Support preparation for internal and external competitions.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new coaches.

Required profile

• Recognised gymnastics coaching qualification (FIG, British Gymnastics, USAG or equivalent).
• 3–5 years of coaching experience with children and youth, preferably in a leadership role.
• Experience designing curricula and assessment frameworks.
• First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain before start date).
• Excellent English communication; Arabic is a plus.
• Availability for afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
• Currently based in the UAE or willing to relocate.

Required skills

• Gymnastics coaching qualification (FIG, British Gymnastics, USAG).
• Curriculum development for gymnastics programmes.
• Spotting and manual support technique across floor, beam, bars, vault and trampoline.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• Child safeguarding and risk assessment.
