Lead Piping Engineer

About the role

Wood is seeking a Lead Piping Engineer to provide technical expertise for piping design on a major project in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure compliance with ADNOC standards and coordinate closely with EPC contractors and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the piping design effort, ensuring adherence to relevant codes and ADNOC standards.
• Coordinate and monitor piping engineering activities with the EPC contractor and internal IPMT team.
• Conduct technical reviews of engineering deliverables from consultants and contractors.
• Participate in equipment sizing, selection, layout, model, and design reviews.
• Provide technical assistance during installation, pre‑commissioning, and commissioning phases.
• Collaborate with other discipline engineers, ADNADOC operations, and site teams to resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in piping engineering within oil & gas or large‑scale industrial projects.
• Proven experience managing EPC contractor interfaces and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC project specifications and international piping codes.
