About the role
Revolut is seeking a Lead Backend Engineer to keep frameworks lean and deliver clean, maintainable code quickly. As part of the Single Sign‑On (SSO) team you will provide a secure, reliable and scalable authentication layer for users and services across the ecosystem.
Key responsibilities
- Develop microservices that evolve Revolut’s architecture.
- Maintain and improve critical systems such as risk management, fraud detection and payment processing.
- Focus on greenfield development while continuously enhancing existing services.
Required profile
- 6+ years of professional backend development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related field.
- Quick learner with an ambitious, results‑driven attitude.
- Strong teamwork, communication and organisational skills.
- Fluent English.
Required skills
- Java (versions 17/21).
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Kubernetes.
- Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic.
- PostgreSQL, Redis.
- Spock, jOOQ, Flyway.
