Lead Structural Engineer – Offshore PMC (ADNOC Project)

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to provide specialist-level expertise for ADNOC offshore projects under a PMC scope. The role will be based at the client office in Abu Dhabi with possible offshore rotation, ensuring EPC contractor designs meet project specifications, international codes, ADNOC standards and HSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve structural design deliverables (calculations, drawings, specifications) for offshore jackets, topsides, modules, decks and helidecks.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC engineering standards and international codes (API, AISC, BS, Eurocode, ISO, DNV).
• Perform independent checks on critical structural calculations and review analyses for in‑place, transportation, lifting, fatigue, seismic and accidental loads.
• Act as the PMC focal point for structural matters, interfacing with client, EPC contractors and other disciplines.
• Support all project phases from FEED to commissioning, including vendor document review, fabrication methodology, lifting plans and on‑site installation support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred); Chartered Engineer status is an advantage.
• 15+ years of structural engineering experience, with at least 8–10 years on offshore oil & gas projects.
• Proven PMC/consultant experience overseeing EPC contractors, preferably on ADNOC or Middle‑East offshore projects.

Required skills

• Structural analysis software: SACS, STAAD, ANSYS, SESAM.
• Offshore structural design and review of jackets, topsides and modules.
• Knowledge of offshore installation methods and HSE practices.
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards and international codes.
