Learning Assistant – School Support Role

About the role

We are seeking a Learning Assistant to join our Dubai Schools Al Khawaneej community. Working under the direction of the Class Teacher, you will help create an engaging, inclusive learning environment that meets the developmental and educational needs of all children.

Key responsibilities

• Support individual or small groups of children as directed by the class teacher.
• Facilitate group learning in the classroom, adapting strategies to ensure curriculum access.
• Record and present evidence of learning, and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Assist with minor administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and resource preparation.
• Supervise children during breaks and accompany them on school trips, following all safety policies.
• Communicate professionally with parents to uphold the school’s reputation.
• Provide flexible support across classes or school areas as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum high school education in English and Maths; a degree is preferred.
• Experience or strong aptitude for working with students; prior teaching assistant experience is advantageous.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Enthusiasm for working with children, good teamwork, and ability to take initiative.
