Learning & Development Manager – Retail (Dubai)

About the role

The Learning and Development Manager will lead the competence development agenda for Al‑Futtaim’s retail division in Dubai. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure the right leadership and capabilities are in place to drive revenue growth, workforce planning and commercial outcomes. The role partners closely with business leaders to identify, develop and retain talent across back‑office and store functions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic support for talent identification, development and positioning across back‑office and store teams.
• Leverage the Al‑Futtaim Learning Centre and Inter‑brand Training College programmes to build leadership and competence.
• Design and implement succession plans and long‑term talent pipelines aligned with the “Talent for Growth” agenda.
• Collaborate with the Acquisition department to align selection assessments with competence and leadership requirements.
• Develop and deliver leadership programmes such as “Grow with Us”, “Leaders for Growth”, Six Sigma and Frontline Leadership.
• Map and improve L&D processes, ensuring alignment with the Al‑Futtaim Talent Agenda.
• Coordinate with HR Business Partners and business managers to maintain up‑to‑date succession plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience in learning and development, talent management or related HR functions.
• Strong ability to partner with senior business leaders and influence talent decisions.
• Experience designing and delivering leadership development programmes.
• Knowledge of succession planning and competency frameworks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
