Legal Advisor (Technology & Data Privacy)

About the role

VIWELL, a digital wellbeing and employee wellness company, is seeking a commercially‑minded Legal Advisor to support its technology, data‑privacy, commercial contracting and regulatory needs as it expands across the GCC.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice on commercial, technology, operational and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage SaaS, technology, client, B2B, vendor, partnership, data‑processing, NDA, service agreements and Statements of Work.
• Support data‑protection, privacy, cybersecurity and information‑governance issues for digital platforms.
• Advise on consumer‑facing terms, user consent and platform‑related matters for the B2B2C model.
• Monitor UAE and GCC laws, especially those affecting technology, digital services, data and privacy.
• Identify contractual risks and propose commercially practical mitigation strategies.
• Develop and maintain legal templates, standard terms, policies and contract playbooks.
• Collaborate with product, technology, HR and leadership teams to ensure legally sound initiatives.
• Assist with corporate governance, licensing, regulatory filings and coordinate external counsel when needed.
• Support dispute management, claims handling and contract lifecycle management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law; postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably within the UAE or broader GCC region.
