Legal Consultant – Funds & Asset Management (8+ PQE) – UAE

About the role

We are seeking experienced funds and asset‑management lawyers with eight or more years of post‑qualification experience to join Peerpoint’s UAE panel for interim assignments with A&O Shearman and leading clients. The consultant will advise sponsors, asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, financial institutions and family offices on the structuring, formation, establishment, management and operation of investment funds.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on funds structuring, formation, establishment, management and operation across a range of asset classes.
• Ensure regulatory and compliance compliance for investment funds, including Shari’a‑compliant structures.
• Support investor‑relations activities and cross‑border legal matters for private‑equity, venture‑capital and technology funds.

Required profile

• Minimum eight years PQE in funds and asset‑management work, with top‑tier private‑practice experience.
• In‑house legal experience at a leading financial services institution or corporate, preferably in the Middle East.
• Practising certificate that permits legal practice in the region and strong commercial acumen.
