About the role

The Locum MR Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the timely processing of all requests for the release of patient health information. This includes requests submitted by patients, their authorized next of kin, and internal physicians, all aimed at supporting continuity of care. The role works within the hospital’s information management framework to guarantee that each request is handled efficiently and reaches the appropriate recipient without unnecessary delay.

Key responsibilities

• Process and release patient health information requests submitted directly by patients.
• Handle release requests from authorized next of kin on behalf of patients.
• Coordinate and fulfil information release requests originating from internal physicians.
• Maintain a prompt turnaround time to support continuity of care across clinical departments.
• Document each request and its outcome in accordance with hospital procedures.
