Logistics Manager

About the role

The Logistics Manager leads the logistics team to ensure world‑class delivery and cost‑efficient equipment movement across the metro area. This role combines operational oversight, staff development, and safety leadership to drive customer satisfaction and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of dispatchers and drivers, ensuring timely and accurate service.
• Coach, train and motivate staff to exceed customer commitments and follow logistical processes.
• Plan staffing levels, schedule drivers, maintain attendance records and approve absences.
• Maintain productive labor relations and ensure compliance with union agreements.
• Assess performance, identify promotion candidates and manage recruitment, hiring and retention.
• Develop and deliver performance improvement plans, stay‑interviews and recognition programs.
• Promote a safety‑first culture, enforce corporate safety policies and lead incident investigations.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in logistics, transportation or supply‑chain environments.
• Strong ability to coach, develop and retain diverse talent.
• Excellent knowledge of labor relations and compliance requirements.
• Track record of optimizing staffing and resource utilization.
• Commitment to safety, discipline and continuous improvement.
