Maintenance Programme & Configuration Engineer II

About the role

The Maintenance Programme & Configuration Engineer II will develop, deliver and optimise Emirates Engineering's Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP) and related configuration processes. The role ensures full compliance with airworthiness regulations and Emirates policies while supporting fleet modifications and configuration management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and continuously improve the modification set‑up process for Airbus, Boeing, engines and components, ensuring timely implementation of Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs) in Ultramain (UM).
• Develop, maintain and enhance the Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP) and Supplemental Maintenance Programme (SMP) to optimise maintenance execution.
• Actively manage relationships with OEMs (Airbus, Boeing, engine manufacturers) to incorporate Emirates‑specific issues into Maintenance Planning Data (MPD) and Maintenance Review Board Report (MRBR) revisions.
• Define and manage internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with supporting departments.
• Validate tasks such as Special Engineering Work Cards (SEWC), AMP, SMP and Engineering Orders (EOs) against OEM and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Support configuration management policy by ensuring accurate tracking and tracing of components and maintenance requirements.
• Investigate and resolve configuration and maintenance issues as they arise.

Required profile

• Experience in developing and optimising aircraft maintenance programmes.
• Ability to manage modification set‑up processes for multiple aircraft types and components.
• Proven capability to work with OEMs and integrate regulatory updates into maintenance data.
• Strong understanding of airworthiness directives, service bulletins and configuration management policies.
