Manager Projects

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a Manager Projects to lead the delivery of long‑term technical projects and programmes across its operations in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures projects meet schedule, budget and quality targets while supporting the airline’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse operational, customer and business data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and develop actionable recommendations for performance excellence.
• Maintain reporting, dashboards and performance insights for senior decision‑making.
• Oversee a portfolio of operations and customer‑related projects, monitoring progress, risks and dependencies.
• Lead cross‑functional projects end‑to‑end, from problem identification through planning, governance, delivery and benefits realization.
• Support business case development and cost‑benefit assessments for new initiatives.
• Establish and maintain project governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement frameworks.
• Communicate updates, risks and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Monitor project and portfolio performance to ensure milestones and objectives are achieved.
• Assist with change implementation to secure adoption and intended outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of experience in project management, with 3 years in a managerial role, preferably within airline operations.
• Project‑management qualification such as PMP, APM, PMI membership or proven knowledge of PRINCE2, Agile methodologies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in project‑management methodologies (PRINCE2, Agile, Waterfall).
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Effective stakeholder communication and governance experience.
