Market Engineer

About the role

The Market Engineer is responsible for maintaining the front‑of‑house, back‑of‑house and vendor kitchen areas at Time Out Market, Saadiyat Grove. You will ensure the market operates safely and efficiently by planning and executing preventative maintenance and handling urgent repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and carry out routine and preventative maintenance across all MEP systems and public areas.
• Respond promptly to engineering concerns, breakdowns and safety issues.
• Manage and supervise additional maintenance staff and coordinate with contractors.
• Maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists.
• Collaborate with market operations to source supplies, equipment and ensure compliance with health‑and‑safety regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar maintenance or engineering role.
• Ability to work standing for long periods and be on‑call for emergencies.
• Strong communication skills in English for interaction with management, co‑workers and vendors.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights and weekends.
