Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team and lead the design, development and optimisation of mechanical systems for construction projects. The role involves creating detailed designs that meet project specifications, industry standards and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical designs, drawings and specifications for HVAC, plumbing and fire‑protection systems.
• Produce layouts and 3‑D models using CAD and BIM tools such as AutoCAD, Revit and SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with architectural and structural teams to integrate mechanical solutions.
• Perform engineering calculations and simulations to validate design performance.
• Review and revise designs according to client feedback, codes and project requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to support project execution.
• Attend site visits to monitor installation and resolve design‑related issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience in mechanical design within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and fire‑protection systems.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
