Mechanical Engineer – Abu Dhabi

About the role

STS Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its data centre projects in Abu Dhabi. You will lead engineering activities on a key project, bridging technical design and on‑site installation through to successful commissioning while ensuring safety, efficiency and top‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mechanical design reviews to identify gaps, deviations, or contradictions in specifications.
• Coordinate technical assessments and resolve issues promptly.
• Participate in regular supply‑chain meetings to monitor progress against the construction programme.
• Ensure site compliance with all relevant HSE legislation and adherence to HSEQ management systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
• Collaborate with site management, subcontractors and clients to achieve project objectives.
• Review mechanical installations with the BIM team to confirm constructability and adequate space for equipment and maintenance.

Required profile

• Relevant third‑level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a mechanical/pipefitting trade qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical engineering experience, covering both design and project delivery.
• Experience in pharmaceutical plant or data‑centre environments is preferred.
• Legal work authorisation for Germany (EU citizen or valid work permit).
