Mechanical Helper

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Helper to support our mechanical technicians on oil and gas construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves assisting with installation, maintenance, and repair tasks while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Assist mechanical technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, including fitting, welding, piping, and equipment alignment.
• Prepare work areas by cleaning debris and removing hazardous materials.
• Handle, organize, and transport mechanical tools, materials, and equipment on‑site.
• Perform basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, and bending conduit and cable trays.
• Support cable tray installation, secure covers, and maintain organized cable management systems.
• Load and unload materials, follow supervisor instructions, and work collaboratively with the team to meet project deadlines.

Required profile

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably on oil and gas construction sites.
• Physical ability to lift heavy items, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and consistent use of personal protective equipment.
• High school diploma or relevant technical training.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on high platforms.
