Mechanical Inspector – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Mechanical Inspector to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role you will ensure the highest standards of mechanical construction quality and safety throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mechanical inspections on building projects, covering HVAC systems, plumbing installations, electrical‑mechanical components, and related systems.
• Verify that all mechanical work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and UAE building codes and regulations.
• Analyze inspection findings to identify defects, non‑conformances, and deviations from project requirements.
• Document results accurately and prepare detailed inspection reports with photographic evidence and actionable recommendations.
• Communicate findings clearly to project managers, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring transparency.
• Coordinate with construction teams for timely remediation and conduct re‑inspections of corrected work.
• Maintain organized inspection records, logs, and digital documentation using construction management software.
• Perform quality‑assurance checks to confirm mechanical systems function safely before handover.
• Stay current with evolving building codes, mechanical standards, and industry best practices in the UAE.
• Collaborate with other inspectors and project teams to ensure consistent quality standards across projects.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and contribute innovative solutions to enhance inspection efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in mechanical inspection, quality assurance, or related roles within building construction projects.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and related building systems.
