Mechanical Inspector – Desalination Facility

About the role

Play a key role in ensuring mechanical excellence on a flagship seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination facility. You will inspect mechanical systems, equipment installations and piping works, verifying compliance with EPC specifications. The assignment is site‑based in Fujairah, UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical equipment, rotating machinery, pumps and steel structures for installation quality.
• Examine piping systems and verify proper alignment, supports and weld integrity.
• Review method statements, material submittals and technical documentation.
• Monitor compliance with project specifications, standards and EPC requirements.
• Report findings and recommend corrective actions to maintain project schedule and safety.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of mechanical inspection experience in water, desalination or industrial plants.
• Proven knowledge of pumps, rotating equipment and steel structures.
• Experience working on UAE projects is advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and codes.
