Mechanical Inspector

About the role

The Mechanical Inspector will carry out on‑site inspections in line with Mechanical Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) to ensure that all works meet contract specifications, local codes and international best practice.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to Inspection Requests (IRs) from the contractor promptly and take appropriate action.
• Review shop drawings against contract drawings, specifications, local codes and statutory requirements.
• Report any deviations from approved drawings and specifications to stakeholders.
• Monitor work quality and site safety, including health, environmental and risk assessment compliance.
• Maintain daily activity records, progress photos and make them available for inspection.
• Prepare surveillance reports and Non‑Conformance Reports (NCR) when deficiencies are identified.
• Coordinate effectively between mechanical and other discipline works.
• Provide technical input to resolve discipline‑related issues on site.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical inspection or a related field.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of contract specifications, QCS standards and safety regulations.
