Mechanical Inspector (STMC)

About the role

The Mechanical Inspector (STMC) will carry out routine site inspections and oversee maintenance activities within Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Mohammad Medical City. The role ensures that subcontracted works meet the defined scope, contractual requirements and safety standards while minimizing disruption to patients and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and document routine site inspections of maintenance and subcontracted works to verify compliance with scope and contracts.
• Monitor day‑to‑day performance of contractors, supervise site labour, and review work schedules to ensure adequate coverage of preventive and routine maintenance.
• Oversee minor project works, quality assurance checks, and safety compliance in accordance with SEHA policies.
• Communicate issues, propose solutions, and relay information to end users, subcontracted staff and engineering leadership.
• Perform regular tests, record and analyse data, and assist with installation, troubleshooting and shutdown of equipment following safety procedures.
• Prepare audit reports and contribute to continuous improvement of equipment performance and design recommendations.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in mechanical inspection or maintenance within a similar industry.
• Experience working in a large healthcare facility is desirable.
• Possession of a relevant special certificate (as required by the employer).
