Mechanical Procurement Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Procurement Engineer to join the Procurement Department of China State Construction (CSCEC ME) in Dubai. The role involves managing the procurement of mechanical materials and subcontracted works, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and delivering value for the project.

Key responsibilities

• Study material and subcontract work requirements based on contract documents.
• Prepare and issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages, including specifications, drawings and Bill of Quantities.
• Invite qualified bidders, follow up on quotations and evaluate them for technical and commercial compliance.
• Negotiate terms to achieve optimal commercial value and credit conditions.
• Produce technical and price evaluation reports and recommend award decisions.
• Review technical data from successful bidders and coordinate project team submittals.
• Prepare contract agreements and manage bank guarantee submissions.
• Report procurement status regularly to the team leader.
• Monitor market prices and stay updated on new materials and technologies.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Mechanical.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical procurement or related field.
• Strong knowledge of contract documents, RFQ processes and supplier negotiation.
• Ability to prepare technical evaluations and procurement reports.
• Good understanding of market trends for construction materials.
