Medical Lab Technologist

About the role

The Medical Lab Technologist will independently perform a full range of laboratory procedures in the Corniche Fertility Center, following established operational rules and SOPs. The role supports accurate diagnostic testing and contributes to high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise junior staff and ensure compliance with departmental policies.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, report shortages, and approve replenishments.
• Conduct specimen analysis to identify normal and abnormal components.
• Capture laboratory results in computer systems and provide reports to physicians.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment, reporting any malfunctions.
• Perform on‑call and shift duties, including weekends and public holidays.
• Promote continuous quality improvement and participate in method evaluation/development.
• Adhere to safety, health, infection‑control, and environmental‑safety protocols.
• Document interventions, support clinical audits, and communicate professionally with patients and healthcare staff.

Required profile

• Relevant laboratory qualification and certification.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory setting, preferably in fertility or related specialties.
• Ability to work independently and supervise junior personnel.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
