MEP Design Engineer – HVAC & Fire Protection Systems

About the role

We are seeking an experienced MEP Design Engineer to lead the design and coordination of HVAC and fire protection systems for substation projects in Dubai. The role involves close collaboration with developers, consultants, and local authorities to deliver compliant and efficient solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and coordinate HVAC systems for substations.
• Design and coordinate fire‑fighting systems including hydrants, water‑spray, fire detection & alarm, gas suppression, and heat tracing.
• Prepare HVAC & FPS layouts, BOQs, technical specifications, and tender documents.
• Interface with electrical and civil teams to ensure integrated design.
• Technical evaluation of vendor offers and review of HVAC & FPS drawings.
• Ensure compliance with NBC, NFPA, IS codes and client requirements.
• Support site execution, testing, and commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7‑10 years of experience in HVAC and fire protection systems for industrial, substation, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with Abu Dhabi projects is an advantage.
