MEP Design Manager – Data Centres

About the role

Egis Group is expanding its data‑centre capability across the UAE and the wider MESA region. This ground‑floor position will lead the design of mission‑critical data‑centre projects, acting as the primary design interface for clients and coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams from concept through to site close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the Lead Design Consultant (LDC) point of contact, accountable for architectural, MEP, ELV, civil, structural and specialist design workstreams.
• Lead multi‑disciplinary bids from the LDC stage through to appointment.
• Own the full design lifecycle – pre‑concept, FEED, detailed design, IFC and site close‑out.
• Drive each design gateway, maintaining programme and technical ownership.
• Ensure quality, coordination and delivery across all disciplines as the client’s primary design interface.
• Contribute to business development and pre‑FEED client engagement as the practice grows.

Required profile

• 10+ years of MEP design experience, with at least 3 years in a lead or management role.
• Proven track record on data‑centre or mission‑critical projects across the full project lifecycle.
• Experience leading multi‑disciplinary teams and bids as an LDC, not just MEP in isolation.
• Strong knowledge of GCC market conditions and familiarity with ASHRAE, BS and NFPA standards.
• Degree‑qualified in mechanical or electrical engineering; Chartered or working towards chartered status preferred.
• Proficiency with BIM/Revit tools.
