MEP Technician

About the role

Edge is seeking an experienced MEP Technician to join its Abu Dhabi facility supporting LAHAB Defence Systems. The role involves maintaining, repairing and optimizing mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment to ensure high production quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform safe maintenance, repair and replacement of plant equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, pumps and motors.
• Install, troubleshoot and service building automation and energy management systems.
• Carry out electrical maintenance on distribution boards and fire control panels, identifying required spares.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, piping layouts and electrical panel schematics.
• Support IoT and smart-building technologies, including access controls and sensor networks.
• Maintain documentation of work performed and adhere to LAHAB’s safety and quality policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in MEP or plant maintenance.
• Proven ability to work with HVAC, plumbing, electrical and automation systems.
• Strong understanding of reading technical drawings and schematics.
• Ability to work onsite in a fast‑paced, safety‑critical environment.
