MEP Trainer – Technical Training for Facilities Management

About the role

The MEP Trainer will design, coordinate and deliver technical training programmes for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems within a Facilities Management environment. The role ensures that technical staff acquire the knowledge, certifications and competencies needed to operate and maintain building infrastructure safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct classroom, practical and on‑site training sessions covering Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire & Life Safety, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Facilitate induction programmes for new technical staff and refresher courses for existing employees.
• Develop training materials, manuals, SOPs, assessments and technical handbooks aligned with operational needs.
• Design competency‑based learning pathways and maintain training calendars.
• Assess theoretical and practical competency, identify gaps and certify staff upon successful completion.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, HSE standards and client requirements, promoting safe work practices such as LOTO, Permit to Work, Working at Height and Confined Space procedures.
• Collaborate with Operations Managers, Account Managers and site teams to determine training needs and support audits and client reviews.
• Maintain accurate training records, attendance reports and certification databases; produce monthly KPI dashboards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related field.
• Certified Trainer qualification (Train‑the‑Trainer preferred) and additional certifications in HVAC, Electrical Systems, BMS, FM or HSE are advantageous.
• 5–8 years experience in Facilities Management, MEP maintenance or building operations.
• 2–3 years experience delivering technical training or learning & development.
