Metals Operator

About the role

MAN CORP is seeking an ambitious and detail‑oriented Metals Operator to join its non‑ferrous metals operations team. You will manage the full life‑cycle of metal shipments, from trade execution through settlement, ensuring smooth logistics and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of a trade, from origination to completion, across internal divisions and external counterparties.
• Maintain accurate records of physical material movements and market conditions.
• Communicate daily with suppliers, receivers, and service providers via written and verbal channels.
• Prepare and update multiple reports, including credit exposure, logistics, and shipping lists.
• Update the in‑house IT system with real‑time cargo location, value, and status.
• Ensure pricing orders from suppliers and customers are correctly processed.

Required profile

• Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to summarise complex logistical issues clearly.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• High attention to numbers and ability to track profit/loss throughout shipments.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Team‑player who can also operate autonomously without constant supervision.

Required skills

• Fluent English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
