Microsoft 365 Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Manager to lead the administration, governance, security, and optimisation of the Microsoft 365 platform for a government organisation. The role will ensure the platform aligns with strict security and regulatory requirements while driving user adoption and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and govern Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
• Lead Entra ID administration, Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, PIM, and hybrid identity management.
• Oversee Intune for endpoint management, device compliance, and mobility solutions.
• Implement and maintain Microsoft Purview controls such as DLP, sensitivity labels, retention, and compliance policies.
• Manage Microsoft Defender for Office 365 security capabilities.
• Drive automation and operational efficiency through PowerShell scripting.
• Ensure platform availability, security, governance, and user adoption.
• Collaborate closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business teams to deliver secure and effective services.

Required profile

• 8‑12 years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration and engineering.
• Strong enterprise‑scale experience with Microsoft 365 tenant management and governance.
• Hands‑on expertise in Entra ID, hybrid Active Directory, and Entra Connect.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview.
• Proficiency in PowerShell automation.
• Good understanding of M365 licensing models (E3/E5), ITSM practices, and change management.
• Government, public sector, or GCC experience is preferred.
