National Cadet Pilot Programme – Emirates (Emiratisation)

About the role

Emirates is offering a fully‑sponsored National Cadet Pilot Programme for Emirati nationals. The four‑year pathway takes candidates from zero flight hours through ground school, flight training, type‑rating and line‑training, ultimately qualifying them as First Officers on Emirates’ modern wide‑body fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Complete a 12‑month ground‑school phase using state‑of‑the‑art technology and virtual‑reality simulators.
• Accumulate approximately 274 hours of flight and simulator experience during the 12‑month flight‑training phase.
• Obtain a Commercial Pilot Licence (Frozen ATPL) with Multi‑Instrument Rating, Multi‑Crew Cooperation and Jet Orientation certificates.
• Undertake a 3‑month type‑rating conversion at Emirates Training College.
• Finish an 8‑month line‑training period on Emirates wide‑body aircraft, leading to a Frozen Air Transport Pilot Licence approved by the UAE GCAA.

Required profile

• UAE passport holder who has completed National Service.
• Minimum height of 160 cm and a BMI of 29 or less.
• Medically fit as confirmed by a GCAA‑approved medical examination.
• Strong foundation in mathematics and physics.
• Excellent command of Aviation English.
