Network Development Manager

About the role

The Manager Network Development will support the Senior Manager in calibrating Etihad’s network planning systems and shaping the airline’s global route strategy. Reporting to senior leadership, the role analyses medium- and long-term network opportunities, builds business cases and ensures profitable connectivity across the hub in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and model medium- and long-term network scenarios using the planning tool.
• Prepare and present business cases for new routes, aircraft, schedules and other network changes.
• Validate assumptions with relevant departments and ensure operational feasibility.
• Support the refresh of the five-year network plan, passenger and revenue forecasts, and the annual budget.
• Provide accurate forecasts and financial evaluations to senior management, alliances, and fleet planning.
• Communicate business case outcomes clearly to commercial and planning teams and secure senior sign-off.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; a master’s degree is a plus.
• 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in airline network planning.
• Strong analytical abilities and confidence presenting to senior executives.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Lufthansa Systems Network Planning and Scheduling suite, especially NetLine Plan.
• In-depth knowledge of airline network planning processes and industry data sources.
