Network Engineer

About the role

Crescent Petroleum is looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join its Sharjah team. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining LAN, WAN, and wireless infrastructures while ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, wireless networks, VPNs and related services.
• Monitor network performance, conduct regular tests, and apply traffic shaping and QoS policies.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, diagrams (LLD/HLD) and network topology maps.
• Analyze core, distribution, and access layers to identify points of failure and improve resiliency.
• Collaborate with the security team to implement and monitor network security controls.
• Respond to connectivity issues, escalations, and proactively resolve potential problems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 6‑8 years of experience configuring multi‑vendor hardware and managing complex network environments.
• Hands‑on experience with IPSec tunnels, SSL VPN, and wireless network design.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, STP, VLAN, VPC and cloud platforms.
• Ability to produce detailed LLD and HLD diagrams and think critically to solve technical challenges.
