About the role

Join DHL Global Forwarding as an Ocean Freight Export (EFCL) Supervisor in Dubai, leading a team of specialists to deliver reliable, compliant ocean freight services while driving profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Steer a team of Ocean Freight Specialists to execute export operations in line with GTOM, 1F1O, service promises and regulatory requirements.
• Drive gross profit maximisation at team level and support productivity improvements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, identify upsell opportunities and ensure high customer retention.
• Ensure implementation of regulatory compliance procedures for commodities and destinations.
• Monitor operational performance, gather customer feedback and lead process‑improvement initiatives using DGF performance tools.
• Act as the primary escalation point for irregularities, coordinating with customers, suppliers and network partners.
• Conduct regular performance dialogues, Gemba walks and performance evaluations to identify issues and foster a safe, motivating environment.
• Participate in setting and achieving ocean freight productivity targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in ocean freight export operations.
• Leadership experience supervising a team in a logistics environment.
• Strong commercial focus with ability to maximise gross profit.
• Customer‑centric mindset with excellent communication skills.
