Operation Executive (Shipping & Logistics)

About the role

The Operation Executive will support HMM Middle East Shipping’s container logistics operations in Dubai, focusing on detention and demurrage management, invoicing coordination and documentation compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up on long idling cases and manage DET/DEM collection and invoice follow‑up.
• Coordinate invoicing, receipt and deduction of line detention.
• Handle documentation and cargo release queries in line with T&D guidelines.
• Manage legal and refund cases related to detention, total loss and resale.
• Prepare notices on new or revised port/customs regulations.
• Compile and submit reports to regional and headquarters teams (auction, disposal, detention deduction).
• Support ITSM documentation module improvement initiatives.
• Produce weekly/monthly operational reports (L.I/Non‑Invoice/DTL/DED).
• Monitor manifests and troubleshoot related issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any field with valid attested certificates.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping or logistics.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Positive, self‑motivated, creative and a strong team player.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
