Operational Buyer

About the role

The Operational Buyer will ensure customer satisfaction by managing the end‑to‑end procurement process, from order entry through project commissioning. You will act as a key liaison between internal teams and suppliers to guarantee material availability and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions accurately and convert them into compliant purchase orders.
• Monitor order confirmations, goods receipt, and invoice verification to support timely payments.
• Collaborate with suppliers to align deliveries with production schedules and project requirements.
• Identify and resolve cost, quality, delivery, or specification deviations.
• Support supplier performance management and risk mitigation using SAP and SAP Ariba.
• Coordinate with planning, logistics, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless supply‑chain execution.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in operational purchasing or a comparable role.
• Background in commercial or technical fields with strong procurement knowledge.
• Detail‑oriented, independent, and reliable team player with a problem‑solving mindset.
• Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong knowledge of SAP, particularly SAP MM.
• Experience with SAP Ariba.
