Operations Manager

About the role

This senior operations position requires more than a decade of hands‑on experience in building, printing, fabricating and delivering projects on time. You will act as the technical and operational backbone, supporting project teams from bid stage through on‑ground execution and reporting to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations across events, exhibitions, fit‑out, large‑format print production and fabrication service lines.
• Develop, implement and maintain SOPs to ensure consistency, quality and efficiency.
• Provide technical input and data for bids and proposals, ensuring accurate specifications and competitive scope.
• Prepare and review BOQs in collaboration with commercial and procurement teams.
• Manage procurement and vendor relationships, securing the right suppliers at optimal cost and quality.
• Coordinate internal teams – design, production, logistics and project management – to keep operations aligned.
• Identify operational risks early and implement mitigation measures.
• Drive continuous improvement in workflows, resource planning and production processes.
• Support leadership with operational reporting, capacity planning and resource allocation.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of hands‑on experience in events, large‑format print production, fabrication, exhibitions or fit‑out.
• Deep technical knowledge of production processes, materials and construction methodologies.
• Strong understanding of all core service lines: events operations, exhibition builds, fit‑out, print production and fabrication.
• Proven experience developing and enforcing SOPs in fast‑paced production environments.
• Solid procurement and vendor management expertise, including assessment, negotiation and performance monitoring.
• Ability to prepare or support detailed BOQs and translate technical scope into accurate cost inputs.
• Experience working within a head‑office or group‑level operations function.
