Operations Systems Specialist

About the role

The Operations Systems Specialist is responsible for administering, configuring and continuously improving the operational systems that support Etihad's airport and passenger services. This role acts as a bridge between operational stakeholders, ground‑handling partners and technology teams to ensure systems meet business, regulatory and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute project activities and deliverables supporting company and departmental initiatives.
• Coordinate and support deployment of self‑service technology solutions across the network.
• Conduct system testing, log defects and ensure timely resolution.
• Manage system configurations, parameters and outputs for accuracy, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Perform system assessments, identify operational risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Develop and maintain user guides, process documentation and training materials.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational and system‑related issues, escalating when necessary.
• Provide functional support and respond to internal and external stakeholder inquiries.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, user adoption and operational outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of operational experience in airline and/or ground‑handling operations.
• On‑the‑job DCS training.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage system configurations and deployments.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject‑matter expertise in departure‑control and/or reservations systems.
• Working understanding of system integration with airline operational workflows.
