Operations Trainee – GT TareeGE Program

About the role

The GT TareeGE Operations Program is a one‑year full‑time trainee position in a gas‑turbine manufacturing and repair facility at the Jebel Ali Service Centre. The role offers hands‑on exposure to inspection, repair and lean manufacturing processes while building a solid foundation in safety, quality, delivery, cost and culture.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in Kaizen events and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
• Assist in implementing and sustaining lean lines using 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work and Daily Management Systems.
• Support daily operations to achieve excellence across safety, quality, delivery, cost and culture.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering and Materials teams to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Engage in structured problem‑solving and waste‑reduction activities.
• Help develop, document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
• Promote a safe working environment and participate in EHS initiatives.
• Support evaluation and implementation of new technologies and tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial or a related engineering discipline.
• Foundational understanding of inspection and repair processes.
• Basic knowledge of Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) and quality systems.
