Optometrist – Full‑time position in UAE

About the role

The Optometrist will deliver comprehensive eye examinations, prescribe corrective lenses and contact lenses, and provide high‑quality customer service within a retail optical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct eye examinations and vision assessments, diagnose common vision problems and prescribe appropriate lenses.
• Perform contact lens fitting, provide eye‑care guidance and maintain accurate patient records.
• Recommend optical and contact lens products based on customers' vision and lifestyle needs, and follow up within three days to ensure satisfaction.
• Support sales activities, build strong customer relationships and contribute to sales growth.
• Monitor contact lens stock, check expiry dates bi‑annually, place orders and oversee equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or recognized qualification in Optometry.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Valid Optometrist licence or eligibility letter from MOH, DHA or DOH.
• Strong clinical, communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and varied shifts.
• Fluency in English; Arabic or Russian is an advantage.
