Part-Time Drama Teacher

About the role

ABC Private School is seeking a passionate Part‑Time Drama Teacher to join its arts department in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering engaging drama sessions to small groups of students, fostering creativity and confidence in a supportive environment. The successful candidate will inspire students to explore storytelling, movement and voice, and will collaborate with other faculty members to integrate drama across the curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver drama lessons for groups of up to 15 students.
• Facilitate rehearsals, performances and classroom activities in the afternoons, starting from 2:30 pm.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain an organized and safe learning space.
• Organize small performances or showcases.

Required profile

• Fluent in English.
• Proven teaching experience, preferably in drama or performing arts.
• Drama qualifications are preferred.
• Highly organized and able to work independently during afternoon sessions.
• Ability to manage classroom dynamics and adapt lessons to varying skill levels.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of drama techniques and group facilitation.
• Effective communication and stage direction abilities.
