About the role

The Patient Administrator will support the delivery of high‑quality patient care by handling appointment scheduling, registration, insurance processing and billing within Mediclinic Welcare Hospital.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage patient appointment scheduling and registration efficiently.
  • Handle medical insurance processes and related administrative tasks.
  • Oversee billing and cash‑up procedures accurately.
  • Maintain and improve customer service standards for patients.

Required profile

  • Completed secondary school education (Grade 12) – essential.
  • Tertiary Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in medical science, finance or accounting – desired.
  • 2‑3 years of customer‑service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting – essential.
  • Experience in a contact centre or healthcare environment – desired.

Required skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Experience with CRM software applications.
  • Familiarity with hospital information systems.
  • Knowledge of medical insurance terminology and processes.
  • Understanding of medical terminology and patient scheduling procedures.
