Physics Teacher

About the role

Oaktree Primary School is seeking a dedicated Physics Teacher to join its faculty in Dubai. The successful candidate will deliver engaging physics lessons to primary‑age students, fostering curiosity and a solid understanding of scientific concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver the physics curriculum appropriate to the age and ability of pupils.
• Develop teaching materials, lesson plans and assessments that cater to diverse learning needs, including SEN, gifted, EAL and disabled students.
• Monitor and record student progress, using data to set targets and inform instruction.
• Provide regular, constructive feedback on assignments and examinations.
• Manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a safe and motivating learning environment.
• Participate in school examinations, inspections and pastoral activities.

Required profile

• Understanding of the needs of pupils with special educational requirements and ability to differentiate instruction.
• Commitment to high standards of literacy and spoken English across all subjects.
• Ability to use assessment data to improve teaching and support student achievement.
• Strong organisational skills and responsibility for pupil attainment and progress.

Required skills

• Knowledge of physics curriculum and laboratory safety procedures.
• Proficiency in designing and evaluating teaching resources.
• Effective classroom management techniques.
