Pipeline Operations Engineer – Integrity Team

About the role

The Pipeline Operations Engineer will join the Integrity Team to develop cost‑effective engineering solutions and manage change across pipeline projects. The role supports the full project life‑cycle, from design review to commissioning and hand‑over, ensuring safe and reliable operation of the network.

Key responsibilities

• Validate consultant and contractor designs against scope, ensuring safety, reliability and maintainability.
• Review and approve technical documents, drawings, specifications and bills of quantities for pipeline projects.
• Develop in‑house design packages and support plant change‑management initiatives.
• Provide technical expertise throughout engineering, procurement, construction, pre‑commissioning, commissioning and hand‑over phases.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary engineering activities to meet company requirements.
• Plan and direct pigging operations, prepare monthly pigging schedules and liaise with the Corrosion Section for chemical injection programs.
• Audit operating procedures and ensure the network can transport throughput from fields to terminals.
• Manage engineering documentation, establish preliminary route alignments and support the pipeline document management system.
• Supervise and train assigned staff to achieve functional objectives.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience in pipeline engineering, design review and construction support.
• Familiarity with corrosion control, pigging operations and document control systems.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical information clearly.
