Piping Engineer III – 6 Month Contract

About the role

The Piping Engineer III will lead the development and review of equipment and piping layouts for oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. This six‑month contract role focuses on creating specifications, evaluating technical bids, and ensuring compliance with sour‑service requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare piping specifications, pipe class data sheets, and valve specification documents.
• Conduct material requisitioning, technical bid evaluation, and vendor clarification.
• Review and approve vendor drawings and documents.
• Generate stress analysis reports and select appropriate pipe supports.
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and structural disciplines to integrate nozzle orientations, skid dimensions, and equipment coordinates.
• Lead and supervise piping engineering deliverables to meet project schedules.
• Liaise with supply‑chain and client teams for procurement and plot‑plan reviews.
• Ensure compliance with Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE, and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E. Mechanical).
• 10–12 years of overall engineering experience, including 5–8 years in oil & gas piping design.
• Strong knowledge of international codes, standards, piping materials, and valves.
• Experience with stress analysis and sour‑service material selection.
• Ability to work under pressure and travel occasionally to remote sites.
