Planning Engineer – Civil Projects (UAE)

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Planning Engineer to lead planning and scheduling for complete civil works on large‑scale construction projects in the UAE. The role requires deep knowledge of project controls, Primavera P6 and close coordination with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and update detailed civil project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Coordinate planning and progress updates with project managers, engineers and subcontractors.
• Integrate civil and architectural schedules for seamless execution.
• Prepare baseline programmes, look‑ahead schedules, recovery plans and delay‑analysis reports.
• Track actual progress versus planned, generate progress reports, histograms and S‑curves.
• Participate in technical and progress meetings with consultants and clients.
• Provide input for monthly invoicing, procurement schedules and material delivery plans.
• Conduct time‑impact analysis and support claims or dispute documentation when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8‑10 years of experience as a Planning Engineer on large‑scale building projects in the UAE/GCC/India.
• Proven experience in high‑rise, villa and commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, cash‑flow, manpower and resource planning.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
