Planning Engineer (MEP)

About the role

Innovo Group is seeking a Planning Engineer to develop and maintain project programmes for its MEP projects in Dubai. The role focuses on tracking progress, identifying schedule risks and supporting timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Update programmes with actual progress and support re‑baselining activities.
• Track project progress against the baseline, identify critical‑path delays and risks.
• Conduct site walks with engineers to verify reported progress against actual installation status.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S‑curves and look‑ahead schedules.
• Issue programme compliance reports highlighting slippage to the Planning Manager and Project Manager.
• Support delay analysis and EOT claim preparation in coordination with the commercial team.
• Maintain delay event registers and provide programme evidence for claim substantiation.
• Coordinate programme submissions and approvals with consultants, main contractors and subcontractors.
• Introduce modern tools, technologies and processes to improve efficiency and transparency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 4‑6 years of planning experience on MEP or construction projects.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Ability to verify site progress and coordinate with engineering teams.
