Plant Operations Engineer

About the role

The Plant Operations Engineer will plan, coordinate and supervise safe and efficient oil and gas production, processing and export operations. The role ensures optimal performance of water, gas, CO₂ and ESP well injection systems while maintaining compliance with HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review operating data against production targets and design envelopes, highlighting major deviations.
• Manage alarm rationalisation and alarm‑management KPIs with stakeholders.
• Conduct Field Technical Rate (FTR) and Field Capacity Test (FCT) to identify bottlenecks and set optimal operating parameters.
• Coordinate production and injection adjustments to meet oil, gas, water and CO₂ injection KPIs.
• Ensure accurate data entry in the PIES system for production, injection and export figures.
• Support Field Sustainable Oil Production Rate (FSOPR) exercises, Reservoir Monitoring Program (RMP) and Water Alternating Gas (WAG) changeovers.

Required profile

• Engineer with experience in oil and gas production, processing and injection operations.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and ensure HSE compliance.
