Platform Reliability Engineer (Hybrid Multicloud)

About the role

We are building a highly resilient hybrid multicloud platform that spans Nutanix and public cloud services while executing a major migration from VMware. The Platform Reliability Engineer will focus on automation, resilience, recoverability and operational excellence to ensure the platform meets the highest standards of availability.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure reliability, performance and recoverability of critical platform services.
• Manage and validate backup and recovery capabilities using enterprise tools such as Rubrik.
• Plan and execute disaster‑recovery testing and recovery‑assurance activities.
• Support migration of workloads from VMware to modern cloud platforms.
• Develop automation to reduce operational effort and improve service reliability.
• Enhance observability, monitoring, alerting and overall operational readiness.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud or platform engineering.
• Proven track record of improving platform reliability through engineering and automation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead disaster‑recovery programmes and validate recoverability.
• Experience reducing operational toil at scale.

Required skills

• Strong experience with Nutanix, VMware and public cloud platforms.
• Hands‑on knowledge of backup/recovery technologies, preferably Rubrik.
• Automation scripting using PowerShell, Python or similar languages.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting and observability tools.
