POS Developer (Java/Kotlin) – Dubai

About the role

Synechron is looking for an experienced POS Developer proficient in Java and Kotlin to join its Dubai team. You will work on Android‑based point‑of‑sale applications that support a variety of payment devices and enable seamless transaction processing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android POS/SoftPOS applications for devices such as VeriFone, Ingenico, XAC, PAX and Ezzetab.
• Implement payment transaction flows, online processing, batch processing, and acquiring/issuing concepts.
• Configure Gradle settings and manage Android libraries to ensure optimal performance.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, write clean, testable code and unit tests.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams using Android Studio, Git, Bitbucket, Ansible and Artifactory.

Required profile

• 4 to 10 years of professional experience in software development.
• Immediate availability or notice period up to 30 days.
• Strong knowledge of payment processing, batch processing and POS concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with Android development tools and libraries.
