About the role
The Research Laboratory of Prof. Serdal Kirmizialtin in the Division of Science at NYU Abu Dhabi seeks a talented researcher to develop and apply machine‑learning and advanced molecular‑dynamics techniques for simulations of nucleic‑acid structures and their interactions.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics or a related field, awarded within the last five years.
- Extensive experience with molecular‑dynamics simulations of molecular systems.
- Strong background in statistical mechanics, physics and chemistry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven record of research accomplishments.
Required skills
- Molecular dynamics simulations (Gromacs, OpenMM).
- Modern sampling techniques such as metadynamics, UFED, path sampling, milestoning.
- Machine‑learning applications in chemistry and biophysics.
- Programming in Python, UNIX shell scripting.
- Use of analysis tools like PLUMED.
