About the role

The Research Laboratory of Prof. Serdal Kirmizialtin in the Division of Science at NYU Abu Dhabi seeks a talented researcher to develop and apply machine‑learning and advanced molecular‑dynamics techniques for simulations of nucleic‑acid structures and their interactions.

Required profile

Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics or a related field, awarded within the last five years.
Extensive experience with molecular‑dynamics simulations of molecular systems.
Strong background in statistical mechanics, physics and chemistry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven record of research accomplishments.

Required skills

Molecular dynamics simulations (Gromacs, OpenMM).
Modern sampling techniques such as metadynamics, UFED, path sampling, milestoning.
Machine‑learning applications in chemistry and biophysics.
Programming in Python, UNIX shell scripting.
Use of analysis tools like PLUMED.
